A NOTE FROM JODY

Recent news validated what we already knew to be true: opioid overdoses hit an all-time high in the past year, surpassing 100,000 deaths across the nation. ICL by the Numbers

Art Heals

While many of ICL’s program staff began working from home when the pandemic hit, beloved teaching artist Dylan Stanfield continued going into the art studio at the East New York Health Hub.

Whole Health Care Leader Status Solidified with Major SAMHSA Grant

ICL was recently awarded a second major grant from SAMHSA, this one for $1.4M to fund flexible, in-home, and trauma-informed outreach, treatment, and peer support services to Spanish-speaking seniors experiencing mental health challenges.

Giving Comfort and Warmth

A warm coat, a cozy hat, a toasty scarf, and a snug pair of gloves—if any of these are sitting in your closet unused, won’t you consider donating them to ICL? During this season of giving, we are accepting donations of winter outerwear and clothing as well as hygiene products, linens, towels, and more. Learn more on our in-kind donation page, and while you’re there, please consider a monetary donation as well.

Your $50 gift will provide five shelter clients with a special holiday meal; a $100 gift will cover the cost of two sturdy rolling duffle bags, a $500 gift covers one year of art supplies for a site, and a $1,000 gift will provide food for over 100 people at the East New York Health Hub’s new food pantry.

Your gift will make this a special holiday season for our clients and let them know someone cares!
