Celebrating ICL's Impact

Thanks to your support, ICL’s whole health approach addresses all aspects of well-being and reduces disparities by providing behavioral health care and recovery services, housing, employment, nutrition, and community engagement support.

We are proud to share our Impact Update. It showcases our innovative programs that close gaps in care, and the work of our dedicated staff in helping New Yorkers get better with us:

  • 80.5% of our participants report an improvement in quality of life
  • Nearly 6,000 people have accessed whole health care at our East New York Health Hub
  • The number of residents at our Nevins Street Apartments seeing a primary care physician has increased by 68%.

Check out all the data to learn more. With your help, we will continue to get great results, as we advance our mission to support children, adults, and families with behavioral health challenges in achieving healthy and fulfilling lives.

Recovering Hope

September is Recovery Month. ICL recognizes that everyone’s journey is different. For some, recovery means abstaining from substance use, and for others, it’s about harm reduction.

Our communities need substance use and harm reduction resources more than ever. We are experiencing a public health emergency—every three hours, someone dies of a drug overdose in New York City. ICL’s Hope & Recovery Center team recently hosted a training for more than 30 staff and participants to learn how to administer Naloxone, a life-saving medication that reverses opioid overdoses.

Drucilla Williams, ICL’s Vice President of Addiction Services, spoke with PIX11 News about the importance of expanding access to Naloxone.

ICL Leadership News

The expertise of ICL leadership continues to be recognized.

ICL President & CEO Jody Rudin was invited to deliver the keynote address at Mobile Health Care Association’s national conference. Jody shared the importance of innovation, rethinking our approaches to outreach and care, and expanding whole health resources for communities that are too-often left behind. ICL is proud to be at the forefront of impactful mobile treatment models, and to share our insights with colleagues in the field.

Congratulations to ICL’s Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Development, Rebecca G. Crimmins, for her recognition as a City & State “Trailblazer in Building & Real Estate.” Rebecca has been instrumental in building out ICL’s robust pipeline of real estate development projects, including expanding our affordable and supportive housing portfolio.
